Today, he is dedicated to bridging Africa and China—advancing Belt and Road Initiatives and driving sustainable empowerment across African nations.
As a partner at East & Concord Partners and a key member of the firm’s overseas expansion team, he provides integrated legal, commercial, financial, and tax solutions for outbound investments, focusing on Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. He serves as Secretary-General of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association’s International Investment Committee and a mediator at two major commercial mediation centers. His practice covers cross-border expansion, capital markets, corporate governance, M&A, data compliance, and AI.
Creative and commercial strategist specializing in real estate investment and international trade across Asia. Formerly a producer of luxury fashion events for Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Shiatzy Chen in Shanghai, she currently acts as Creative Director for multiple large-scale real estate projects in China and Asia, overseeing brand integration, development concepts, and cross-border commercial partnerships.
Former Speaker of the National Assembly and the first woman to hold this constitutional office in Mauritius, Maya also served as High Commissioner of Mauritius to India from 2020 to 2022 and was previously Minister of Health and Quality of Life. In her early career, she held the position of Permanent Secretary for Finance and Health. Maya has over 30 years of experience in the Mauritian public service and political sphere, having served as a senior civil servant and politician.
